11 Program Evaluation Committee

PURPOSE

Systematic evaluation and development of the nursing program utilizing guidelines from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Idaho State Board of Education, and the Idaho State Board of Nursing for program evaluation and development.

 

FUNCTIONS

  1. Facilitate ongoing evaluation and development of the nursing program including philosophy and objectives; organization and administration; faculty; students; curriculum; facilities and resources, and program outcome achievement.
  2. Implement the Summary Calendar of Formal Total Program Evaluation.
  3. Present evaluation results and recommendations to the faculty during Nursing Program Faculty Committee meetings for decisions.

 

MEMBERSHIP

A.  Faculty membership

    1. Number: balanced representation from each team.
    2. Selection: determined at the August Nursing Program Faculty Committee meeting.
    3. Term: two (2) academic years preferable.

B. Student membership

    1. Number: one representative from each year of the program: a.  one student from beginning level or intermediate level 1 and b) one student from intermediate level 2 or advanced level
    2. Selection: selected by the student membership of each class.
    3. Term: two (2) years preferable.
