Discuss enrollment trends.
Post-COVID, enrollment stalled for a few semesters. We are finally beginning to see enrollment return to the pre-COVID numbers. As of April 2024, there are already 18 total students enrolled in the Fall 2024 CITE and Cybersecurity programs and we anticipate even more to register before the start of the Fall semester.
If applicable, what plans are in place to deal with or improve enrollments including recruitment strategies?
Within the next five years, we anticipate the program to grow exponentially. Due to the high need for CITE employees within Idaho Region 1, the state of Idaho, and nationwide, there is ample opportunity for the CITE department to expand. In the past year, the CITE and Cybersecurity programs have increased their marketing efforts in order to reach a wider audience; this has included participation at NIC Bus Tour and Open House events and faculty representation at Region 1 high schools. We have also recently reached out to graduates of the CITE program to conduct a post-graduation follow-up (per college policy) and learned from this that all of them are employed full-time in a position within their specified field of study. We plan to incorporate this data into future marketing ventures.
