Employment Levels and Demand: According to the Leading Idaho Occupational Outlook Data for 2023-2030 (see attachment), several occupations related to the Administrative Office Management Technology (AOMT) program are projected to experience significant growth.

  • Customer Service Representatives: Employment is projected to grow by 11.2%, with 3,935 annual openings.
  • Executive Secretaries and Executive Administrative Assistants: A growth rate of 13.2% is projected, with 321 annual openings.
  • First-line Supervisors of Office and Administrative Support Workers: Expected growth of 12.3%, with 1,453 annual openings.
  • Receptionists and Information Clerks: Anticipated growth of 21.7%, with 1,741 annual openings.
  • Office Clerks, General: Projected growth of 15.7%, with 3,524 annual openings.

Additionally, there is sustained demand for roles such as Administrative Services Managers, Correspondence Clerks, Data Entry Keyers, Order Clerks, Postal Service Clerks, and Procurement Clerks. These roles offer competitive salaries and long-term opportunities for career advancement, underscoring the program’s relevance.

Support through Idaho Launch Funding: Next Steps Idaho has identified the programs within the AOMT curriculum as in-demand, making them eligible for Idaho Launch funding. This initiative provides financial assistance to students pursuing education in high-demand fields, underscoring the program’s significance and value in addressing regional workforce demands. This funding further emphasizes the program’s vital role in meeting employment needs and supporting economic growth.
