What comes next?

After you have mailed/emailed everything to the state, it will take about a week or two to receive your LOS certificate. However, there is plenty to do in the meantime.

1. Apply to UofI or ISU
2. Register for classes at UofI or ISU
   1. If you attend ISU there is a tuition waiver under the NIC’s website.
   2. Regardless of university make sure do fill out NIC’s Professional Development Unit (PDU) form in the faculty handbook.
3. Watch your email. The state will email you with CANVAS instructions for Pre-Service Academy (name is in the process of being changed).
4. Attend First Camp
   1. This is a week-long camp that occurs in combination with the state’s Connect conference for CTE. It is on a three-year rotation between Boise, Lewiston, and NIC.
5. The state will check on you periodically over the three years and may schedule a site visit with you.
6. Once you have met all the requirements, you will complete the same application only you will check LOS completer. Anything that you previously submitted to the state that has not changed, you can put a comment that says on file.
