- Advanced Occupational Specialist (AOS)

Advanced Occupational Specialist (AOS)- After you have met the requirements of the LOS, the state will look at your years of experience, your education, etc., and award you either an SOS or AOS. Both certifications are valid for five years and require the equivalent of six credits for renewal. Certifications are typically valid from September through August.

Everyone starts here until they have met the current certification requirements. This certificate is valid for three years.
