6 Official Transcripts
The state does not charge you an application fee, but official transcripts typically cost to order. Faculty have funds available for professional development from two different sources (Office of Instruction & HR) at NIC. These funds can be used to reimburse for the transcripts’ costs.
Ordering transcripts is usually as easy as going to your college’s website and searching for the transcripts page. It will walk you through ordering transcripts from that entity.
The state accepts electronic and mailed transcripts. However, sending them in with your packet expedites processing.
- Electronic
- Official transcripts sent electronically/faxed directly from the university/college are acceptable. Please have them sent within the week after mailing the application. Electronically sent directly from university/college to certification@cte.idaho.gov
- Mailed
- Official transcripts may be removed from the sealed envelope. We cannot accept faxes, photocopies, or printouts of electronic transcripts.
I recommend having official transcripts mailed to you and then including them in the envelope with your application.
Final Step: Mark the “official transcripts” checkbox complete on Page 1. Include how you are submitting your transcripts. Check out the next chapter on Résumé for the next step.
