39 Review Team: What are program weaknesses/potential threats?
- Declining enrollments in non-dual credit History courses
- Diversity in instruction with declining number of instructors and courses.
- Lack of course offerings due to declining enrollment.
- Dual credit could pose a problem, as it seems the administration wants to move quicker than the department has staff to control.
- Perhaps declining interest in HIST 290 reflects a changing attitude toward history as a major, in that students do not want to do archival work and research. They simply want to be told what to do and then to do it.
- Declining in-person interest that is not supported by growth in online courses.
