Student Conduct: Offenses and Response Process
Student Conduct Workforce Training Center aligns and adheres to the Student Code of Conduct as delineated in the North Idaho College Student Handbook.
The Student Code of Conduct addresses the following as a reportable incident:
- Academic dishonesty
- Disruption
- Abuse of self or others
- Theft or damage to property
- Hazing
- Trespassing
- Violation of NIC policy/regulations
- Drugs and alcohol
- Firearms/weapons
- Disorderly conduct
- Discrimination
- Sexual misconduct
- Harassment/Stalking
- Reckless endangerment

If a student engages in conduct that is inappropriate or criminal in the classroom or clinical setting as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct, please perform the following procedures:
- Call 911 immediately for any criminal behavior/danger.
- If student engages in non-criminal inappropriate behavior in the classroom, please warn the student privately and remind them of their signed syllabus agreement and NIC’s Code of Conduct policy.
- Complete the Student Conduct Incident Report describing the incident and if possible obtain the student’s signature.
- Submit the completed form and any other witness documentation to the Director and a copy to the Operations Manager. Incident Report Form
- Reported documentation will be forwarded on to the appropriate school authorities per NIC policy.
- Please contact the Coordinator of your program for assistance/consultation for any student behavior that you are unsure how to resolve.
