Saturday Closing Process

Saturday Closing Process- Instructor

  1. At closing time, Customer Service shuts down office, locking all classroom doors not in use, and locking all doors leading to outside.
  2. After Customer Service leaves, you will not be able to get back into the building if you get locked out.
  3. If there are classes still in session after Customer Service leaves, each instructor is responsible for:
    1. Locking their classroom door.
    2. Ensuring all of their students are out of the building.
    3. Checking the bathrooms for their students.
  4. Unless told otherwise by your coordinator, the alarm will auto-arm at 6pm.  All instructors and students must be out of the building by this time.
  5. Contacts and procedure in the case of an unforeseen situation:
    1. Accidental Lockout- Call your Coordinator
    2. Accidental Alarm: If the alarm goes off, call Business Operations Manager (Andy Ruppel @ 208-661-7198).  Business Operations Manager will then contact NIC Head of Security, the Director, and the Dean to advise the alarm was accidental. In the event Business Operations Manager is not available, please call your coordinator.
    3. Business Operations Manager (or coordinator if Business Operations Manager is unavailable) will assist instructor over the phone on how to disable the alarm and will travel to WTC if necessary to re-arm the alarm.  Alarm can be cleared by pressing 1 plus a 4-digit alarm code.
    4. If you have any questions about this process, contact your Coordinator or Business Operations Manager at 208-929-4022.
