Key Process
Purpose
This section will provide guidance for instructors on how to check keys out for purposes of accessing classrooms after the main business office of Workforce Training Center (WTC) has closed.
Scope
This policy is applied to all NIC Workforce Training Employees and instructors (both full- and part-time).
Prerequisites
Instructors requesting keys for check out will need to know which rooms they need keys for and access the facility map for key numbers, as well as knowing ahead of time how long they will be needing the key. Instructors will need to check-in/check-out keys during normal office hours.
Responsibilities
Responsibility will be shared across coordinators, customer service representatives, administrators, and instructors.
Process
Instructor
- Informs Customer Service Rep that key check-out is needed
- Fills out check-out sheet with pertinent information
Customer Service Representative
- Accesses lock box and provides correct key to instructor
Instructor
- Returns key to Customer Service Rep when finished
- Signs check-in sheet
Customer Service Representative
- Returns key to lock box
