Workforce Training Center’s Policies and Procedures

Transportation Policy

Instructors will not offer transportation to any student. Please encourage students to ask class mates about car-pooling when appropriate.

Recruitment

Instructors may not actively recruit students for employment. Many employers invest in their own staff to complete training at North Idaho College Workforce Training Center and we want to respect their investment.

If an employer approaches you inquiring about how they could speak with the students about employment opportunities, please ask them to email a PDF or Jpeg flyer to nicworkforcetraining@nic.edu.

Grievance Process

In the event of a student complaint, please refer to North Idaho College’s Student Complaints and Concerns Procedure #5.16.

  • Most student complaints are managed by the lead instructor. In the event that the student is not satisfied with the lead instructor’s resolution, then the student must initiate a formal written grievance process.
  • For a written complaint, the Workforce Training Center’s Grievance Form  can be accessed for  students to complete. Once the student submits the completed grievance form, the program coordinator or director will investigate within five business days of form receipt. At the conclusion of the investigation, the student is contacted for a meeting by the program coordinator or director to review findings and document the resolution/action plan. All investigative documents and completed grievance form are signed by program coordinator and director. Documents are stored with student/class file.
