16 Program Capacity
What is the capacity of the program to increase enrollment?
The psychology program has limited capacity to increase enrollment on a permanent basis at this time, but hiring a new full-time faculty member will enable the psychology program to expand the number of sections offered across all psychology courses. Since demand for on-campus courses has decreased, online classes will make up a disproportionate number of classes offered once there is a new full-time psychology faculty. Dual Credit psychology courses is an area that could be further expanded as the number of dual credit students increases at North Idaho College. The SBS Division will also explore partnerships with high schools, including those in rural areas, to offer GEM courses, including PSYC 101 in a variety of ways, including zooming in NIC faculty and having NIC faculty teach onsite, in addition to the current delivery options.
Does the program have a cap on the number of students? If so, please describe/explain.
No.
