FTE of full-time faculty [Full-Time Equivalent] total number of semester credits equivalents taught by all full-time faculty divided by 15
FTE of part time faculty  [Full-Time Equivalent] total number of semester credits equivalents taught by all part-time faculty divided by 15

Total FTES (used for student/faculty ratio) [Full-Time Equivalent Students]This data is pulled directly from the CROA Report – Instructional Program Review
Student/Faculty Ratio FTES divided by FTEF
Number of full-time support staff and Number of part-time support staff support staff will include, division administrative assistant, division chair, and any other staff members employed by the department
FTE of support staff Add the full-time equivalent of each support person (Division chair might be .80 with an assistant division chair at .20, administrative assistant might be 1.0 FTE or below, part-time can be calculated by dividing their standard weekly hour by 40)

Explain any trends or deviations shown in faculty and staff profile above.

*Table DOES NOT include directed study sections, receiving site outreach sections (IVCR’s) not included in total semester credits for FTEF and student/faculty ratios, as displayed in PSYC instructional program review data report

The SBS Division Chair and PSYC program leads have thoughtfully adjusted to changing enrollments trends and shifts in full-time faculty headcount.  The result is that in any given semester total FTEF exceeds FTE of full-time faculty.  An experienced pool of part-time faculty has allowed the SBS Division to meet changing demand.  Student to faculty ratio has remained remarkably consistent between Fall 2019 and Fall 2024, despite fluctuations in student enrollment and full-time faculty headcount.  Fall 2024 enrollments have increased and we anticipate this trend will continue.  While we have a good pool of part-time faculty, increasing enrollments have resulted in full-time faculty taking on more overload courses.  Based on the data, the SBS Division chair strongly supports the hiring of an additional full-time faculty member for Fall 2025 and the department has recently received approval to hire a full-time special appointment instructor.
