32 Library Resources
Are existing library resources adequate for the program? Please explain.
The Molstead Library at NIC is an excellent resource for students in our field. Through it we have access to:
- 3 psychology emphasis databases (PsycARTICLES; Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection; and PsycINFO)
- 6 multidisciplinary databases that include psychological materials (Academic Search Complete; Associates Programs Source Plus; CredoReference; EBSCOHost eBook Collection; ERIC; JSTOR)
- 15+ databases to support psychological research projects generally (e.g. Demographics Now; Films on Demand; Nursing and
Allied Heath Source; SOCIndex, etc.)
Closely linked to the databases themselves is the InterLibrary Loan Service. Students can request access to materials (usually journals) not available in Full-Text through our database subscriptions. Per our Reference and Instruction Librarian, the Psychology; Social sciences, Science, and Medicine subject classes in Library of Congress classification, we have 1700+ titles with ‘psychology’ in the record. 600 of these have been published since 2010.
